Africa Web TV street talk (Gays in Africa)

You might recall that Africa Web TV met with a group of Ugandan, Holland based gays and lesbians in Amsterdam recently.

They told the story of the persecution they are going through in their country. The president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, like some other leaders in Africa (Nigeria included) have essentially legalised mob justice against homosexuals in their countries. Many of the gays and lesbian people are now at the mercy of both the law and the mob. It does not take a genius to know that this rise of homophobia comes at high personal and emotional costs to gays and lesbians in those countries.

As a follow up to our interview with the Ugandans, Africa Web TV’s Edith Kevara Isadia went to the streets of Eindhoven in The Netherlands to have some street talk on this issue. Some of the response were philosophical; “if you give people freedom, you will have peace!” Some were hilariously ridiculous; “gay people are suffering in their asses!”

Whichever side of the argument you are, this is a must see video!
