Ghana president, Nana Akufo-Addo says one of the major causes of coups in Africa is that some democratically elected leaders want to extend their rule by extending term limits. President Nana Akufo-Addo also addresses governance opportunities and challenges in West Africa. He was speaking at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington DC.
Ghana is one of the most enduring and prosperous democratic countries in West Africa, a regional leader and member of ECOWAS.
