Keukenhof or “Kitchen Garden” in English is the setting for the latest in the series of Afropean Safari. Join Aureliarita Marcellus as she navigates through the flowers and windmills of Keukenhof which is also known as the Garden of Europe. Situated in the town of Lisse in The Netherlands, it is one of the world’s largest flower gardens. Although Keukenhof widely known for its tulips: hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, roses, carnations and irises are also to be found in the garden.
Fun Fact: Many of the Tulips and other flowers are grown in and imported from Africa, mainly from Kenya and South Africa!
Keukenhof is open for just 8 weeks from mid-March to mid-May.
