Tony Allen is without a doubt one of the greatest drummers that has ever lived. He has been credited as being the driving force behind what is known as Afrobeats together with Fela Kuti. He has worked with almost everyone, every genre and every generation in the music business. We met up with him 2016 after an all-star show with amongst others Ernest Rangling, Courtney Pine and Cheikh Lo. He was very down to earth! What a legend! May he rest in peace.
