In an unusual direct message to other world leaders gathered in Paris, France, South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa has warned that Africa should not be treated as beggars. Africa’s clout is growing. He says the lives of the people in the global North is not worth more than those in the South. President Cyril Ramaphosa also hinted that the continued use of the dollar as the international currency of trade will be on the agenda of the next BRIC summit in South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa was speaking at a gathering of world leaders’ Summit For A New Global Financing Pact in Paris France.
