The 2016 edition of the yearly Afrikadag (Africa day) organised by Foundation Max van der Stoel took place at the Tropen Museum in Amsterdam on Saturday 5 November 2016.. The main theme for this edition is the relationship between Europe and Africa. Furthermore, there were extensive cultural programmes, documentaries and an African marketplace. This year’s keynote speakers were the CEO of the Mara group, Ashish J Thakker from Uganda and the Dutch parliamentarian of Ghanaian decent, Amma Asante
