Tilburg, The Netherlands. February 2016. This week we bring you a special smile of an African lady who freely admits to smiling to cover an eternal pain. This Liberian lady has experienced the horrors of war in her native country. She fled because she lost all her family and loved ones during the civil war. The Netherlands gave her refuge. But the pain of the horror she has been through remains till this day. She is determined to be a carer. So at the moment she is studying nursing in England. She wants to give care people because she never received care for her physical and emotional wounds. She smiles brightly to mask the pain she feels. She smiles because the evil people might have taken away her family, they could never take away her smiles. If there was ever a smile that deserved to be a smile of Africa, this is that healing smile.
